Description
IPRES was founded in 1968 as an association within public bodies, which are all expressions of the system of local and functional autonomies in the Apulia region. In July 2018, IPRES was transformed into a foundation. The Foundation aims to conduct studies and research for the definition, implementation and evaluation of public policies. The main activities are:

a) studies and research activities on the economic, social and territorial structure of the Apulia region;
b) providing support to the Apulia Region and other partners on issues of local autonomy, European integration, international competition;
c) the study of methods for planning, monitoring and evaluating public policies;
d) technical assistance with EU Structural and Investment Funds;
e) providing support to the Apulia Region in the preparation of preliminary studies for regional legislative production;
f) the promotion of the link across the research structures that are active on the regional territory;
g) participation in EU projects.
